Meeting Description:

The 9th International Workshop on Balto-Slavic Accentology (IWoBA IX) will take place at the Juraj Dobrila University, Pula, Croatia, on 19-21 September 2013. 

The objective of this workshop is to bring together linguists who are engaged in research and study of the Balto-Slavic accentuation so that they may exchange and share their theories and research results. 

No registration fee will be charged. 

To register for the conference, please contact davidmandic at hotmail.com no later than 1 February 2013.

Call for Papers:

Those interested are invited to submit an abstract of their presentation dealing with historical and comparative Balto-Slavic accentology, including issues in the accentuation of contemporary Baltic and Slavic languages and dialects. 

Each presentation will last 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute discussion. Abstracts of 800 words in either word or pdf format can be sent as email attachments to  davidmandic at hotmail.com. The deadline for abstract submission is 1 June 2013.
