The call for Yggdrasil grants from the Research Council of Norway is
out - giving young researchers the opportunity to come to a
university/institution of higher education in Norway for a period of 3-12
months. The Norwegian host institution may apply for grants for
research stays for Ph.D. candidates and younger researchers who are
affiliated with a higher education and/or research institution in one of
50 countries. The grant candidate and the host institution should in
collaboration write a project description of the mobility project. If you
are interested, please contact the Senior Researchers at CASTL that
are relevant for you work. For info about CASTL and the individual
researchers, see http://castl.uit.no.
Grant applications will be accepted from the following countries:
European countries: All countries, including all Council of Europe
member states, except for the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland,
Iceland, Norway and Sweden).
Non-European countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, India, Israel,
Japan, Mexico and South Africa.
The rates for 2012-2013 are:
- NOK 13 500 per month (without family)
- NOK 27 000 per month (with family)
- NOK 10 000 per person for travel expenses for applicants from non-
European countries
