Description:

This position will support the development of Natural Language Processing 
(NLP) based solutions in large scale computing environments. The work 
involves evaluation, development and testing of NLP algorithms, tools and 
approaches for their implementation.

Required qualifications:
-  A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
-  Strong experience developing and implementing NLP algorithms and 
systems
-  7 + years experience developing Web Services, Service-Based Software 
System design and XML technologies (XSLT, XQuery, XPath, etc.)
-  Proficiency in both Windows and Linux
-  U.S. citizenship and willingness to obtain a DoD security clearance

Preferred qualifications:
-  TS/SCI with Poly clearance
-  An advanced degree
-  Experience developing and implementing NLP algorithms and analytics 
in a cloud environment.
-  Exposure to Oracle 10g/11g (or other RDBMS), HTML, CSS, Javascript 
libraries and frameworks, J2EE, JSP, Struts, JSF, and JSON
-  Experience with Web 2.0 technologies/methodologies such as AJAX, 
RSS, Microformats, wikis, social tagging, and social networking
-  Knowledge of web development languages such as Ruby on Rails, PHP, 
and Python
-  Exposure to MapReduce and Hadoop

The ideal candidate is creative, driven, and self-motivated and has a strong 
interest in Semantic Web concepts, Ontology Design, Semantic 
Representation Languages, Semantic Query Languages, and Machine 
Reasoning. The position presents a uniquely exciting opportunity to apply 
cutting-edge NLP and semantic techniques to significantly impact real-
world problems in important domains.
