The Routledge Translation Studies Portal is now live and ready for
your visit.
The Portal offers a wide range of online resources and teaching
materials, linking to key organizations and showcasing our broad range
of titles in translation and interpreting studies.
Lawrence Venuti, the leading theorist, author and translator, introduces
the Portal in a set of specially recorded video interviews. He talks about
how he became a translation studies scholar, what he sees as the main
current trends and future directions and discusses his revised The
Translation Studies Reader (third edition).
Our Portal is broken down into three sections:
- the Resources section offers students a wide range of online
resources, from multiple choice revision exercises to a glossary and
self-test online flashcards. There are also video interviews and lectures
by our leading authors, including Mona Baker and Jeremy Munday
- the Instructors section provides powerpoint slides linked to two of our
bestselling textbooks
- the Samples section allows you to browse sample chapters from some
of our key titles.
This is only the start, as we will be building up content daily. Visit the
portal that will become a valuable resource for the global translation
studies community today:
