Description:

Applications are invited for postdoc/research associate positions in the 
Department of Computer Science at Brandeis University to work on a large-
scale Natural language processing project. The postdoc/research associate is 
expected to conduct research in the general area of computational linguistics 
and natural language processing, but special consideration will be given to 
candidates who are interested in fundamental natural language processing 
problems such as syntactic parsing and semantic analysis.   

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in computational linguistics and natural language processing.
- Strong background in statistical and machine learning approaches to natural 
language processing. 
- Programming skills in Python, Perl and/or Java.
- Comfortable working with Unix/Linux platforms.
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese desired but not required.
