Description:
The Department of Linguistics, University of Toronto, invites applications for
a one-year contractually limited term appointment (CLTA) at the rank of
Assistant Professor, effective August 1, 2012.
The position involves teaching 3 courses in Formal Semantics at the second
and third year undergraduate and graduate level, and 2 others to be
determined from among courses such as the following: Introduction to
Language, English Words, English Grammar, and Advanced Morphology;
conducting research, serving on graduate committees, and taking part in the
normal activities of the Department.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. completed, evidence of research
ability, and relevant teaching experience. Salary will be commensurate with
qualifications and experience. Evidence of excellence in teaching and
research is required.
