Description:
The Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders at Michigan
State University seeks to fill a faculty position with an individual committed
to developing an outstanding program of research and teaching. The ideal
candidate will be an energetic teacher/scholar who is excited at the
opportunity to join an innovative and growing department.
This position is tenure system at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
rank. Qualifications of preferred candidates include a Ph.D. in
communicative sciences and disorders or a related discipline, and
distinguished scholarship with emphasis on basic or clinical research in
speech-language disorders. Candidates must demonstrate success (or the
promise of success) in obtaining external funding for their research and
the potential for multidisciplinary collaboration.
The Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders
(http://comdis.msu.edu) is housed within MSU's world-renowned College
of Communication Arts and Sciences and is located in East Lansing,
Michigan. The College of Communication Arts & Sciences at Michigan
State University, established in 1955, was the first such college in the
country. Today, with more than 4,000 students, it is one of the largest and
most respected. The college combines a research-intensive faculty with a
strong professional mission to prepare students for rewarding careers and
emerging technologies.
