Description:
The Department of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania invites
applications for a one-year full-time lecturer position in Phonetics, lasting from
July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. The successful candidate should have the Ph.D.
completed before taking the position.
Applicants should present a proven record of research and evidence of
excellence in teaching. Duties will include supervising the phonetics laboratory.
The department particularly encourages applications from scholars who can
contribute to Penn's tradition of cooperation across subdisciplines within
linguistics and can participate actively in interdisciplinary research in cognitive
science.
Candidates are to apply at the application URL below. Applications must include
a curriculum vitae, a statement of research and teaching interests, and
representative publications. Also, applicants must submit the names and
contact information of three referees who have agreed to provide letters of
reference. The University will contact the referees with instructions on how to
submit their letters.
Review of applications will begin on April 2, 2012, and will continue until the
position is filled. It is to every candidate's advantage to apply as early as
