Dear Subscribers,
My name is Flora Du. I started to work as a financial editor in August 2009.
This is my last opportunity to participate in Fund Drive, since I am
graduating in April. I would like to say thanks for your support, and
enabling me and others such an excellent opportunity to learn and grow.
Without your help, I cannot work, and our organization cannot survive,
please donate this year to keep our work and LINGUIST List alive:

Among the linguistic and computer science students, the LINGUIST List chose
me, an accounting student, because it needs special accounting skills for
the jobs you list. My responsibility is to assist LINGUIST List with
planning and using its financial resources efficiently, economically and
effectively. Such work and learning experiences have broadened my
accounting knowledge, and have encouraged me to pursue my career goal as an
auditor.
All of your donations go to students' payroll. In return, our students put
robust work into providing free yet valuable services for you. With your
continued submissions and generous donations, students from all over the
world can have this wonderful opportunity to become better scholars and to
provide to the betterment of linguistics.
To help the survival of linguistics, and to help me and our fellow crew
members to continue next year's work, please donate today:

$15, $35, $250...any amount is highly appreciated. Thank you very much for
your support!
Sincerely,
Flora Du
Financial Editor

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Eastern Michigan University and as
such can receive donations through the EMU Foundation, which is a registered
501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These
donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax
return (U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site,
or contact your financial advisor.
Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match
any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your
contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the
EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a
simple administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to
LINGUIST, without costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if
your company operates such a program.
Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
