Meeting Description:
We would like to invite you to first Workshop on Infant Language Development (WILD), organized by the BCBL - Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (http://www.bcbl.eu).
The overarching goal of WILD is to bring together scientists with different perspectives and methodological approaches to the study of early language and cognitive development. The meeting will be held between June 20 and 22, 2013 in Donostia - San Sebastian, Spain.
This scientific meeting has been created to highlight recent research on a wide range of topics within monolingual and bilingual development, including speech perception and production; word learning; the development of syntax and morphology; brain mechanisms and first language acquisition; recent advances in infant brain imaging techniques (i.e., EEG, NIRS); atypical language development; language and cognition; early bilingualism; multilingual development; the role of culture in language development; gestures and non-verbal communication in infants and toddlers.

Call for Papers:
The workshop program also includes poster and talk sessions, and we invite abstract submissions in any of the above-mentioned topics.
Submission of abstracts must be done via the form available on our website. Do not submit an abstract more than once. There is no limitation to the number of abstracts an author may submit. The maximum abstract length is 300 words. References, photographs, diagrams, formulas or tables cannot be accepted as part of an abstract. The conference language is English and spoken papers, posters, conference proceedings, and publications will all be in English. Information about paper presentations, poster dimensions, deadlines for the proceedings document and other requirements will be communicated to authors in the acceptance letter. The deadline for abstract submission is February 18, 2013.
