Description:
Stony Brook University's Department of Linguistics invites applications for
a tenure-track position in computational and/or experimental linguistics at
the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2013. Applicants must
have a doctoral degree in linguistics by September 2013, an active
research program in computational and/or experimental linguistics and
evidence of ability to teach courses in computational and/or experimental
linguistics and core areas of linguistics. The ideal candidate would be
expected to (1) maintain an active research program in computational
and/or experimental linguistics that addresses concerns in one or more
core areas of linguistics, complementing and enhancing the Department's
strengths in grammatical theory, and (2) contribute to the ongoing
development of the Department's graduate and undergraduate degree
