Dear LINGUIST Members,
I am a PhD student researching the teaching of English pronunciation in
primary and secondary education in Cyprus.
I would like to kindly ask if you are aware of any literature available in the
area of pronunciation teaching in your country, concerning primary and
secondary education (in the context of teaching English as a foreign
language). I am also interested in vowel studies researching pronunciation
problems of speakers of various backgrounds learning English as a foreign
language.
I would also be more than happy to forward a questionnaire to those of you who
are interested in participating in my study by answering questions on teaching
pronunciation practices concerning their country (if you indicate your
interest at mariannakyprianou at yahoo.gr I will forward the questionnaire to
your e-mail address).
Thank you very much for your help. A summary of all responses will be posted
as soon as the collection of data is completed.
