Meeting Description: 

The 8th International Congress on Missionary Linguistics will be held from March 25 to 28, 2014, at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, in Lima, Peru. On this occasion, the topic of the meeting will be ‘Efforts towards the normalization and codification of Amerindian languages in the context of Colonial evangelization (16th and 17th centuries)’. 

El VIII Congreso Internacional de Lingüística Misionera tendrá lugar en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, entre el 25 y el 28 de marzo de 2014. En esta oportunidad, el tema de la reunión será ‘Esfuerzos de normalización y codificación de las lenguas indoamericanas en el contexto de la evangelización del periodo colonial (siglos XVI y XVII)’.
