Description:

The Esperantic Studies Foundation, a US-based private foundation, is seeking a part-time Academic Coordinator to work closely with board and staff members to build a scholarly community and research network in Esperantic studies, both in North America and abroad. 

Duties will include outreach and correspondence; building resources and tools such as web pages, bibliographies, etc.; and advising the board on promising initiatives and directions for development. A high level of proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Esperanto is highly desirable, as is familiarity with one or more aspects of Esperantic studies (e.g. language policy and planning, intercultural communication, transnational sociology and historiography, etc). Graduate students, as well as those with a graduate degree in a related discipline, are welcome to apply. Demonstrated experience with national and/or international research networks would be welcome, as would familiarity with website and database design and development. 

Hours and compensation will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience. Work may be performed from any location.
