Meeting Description:

We are pleased to invite you to participate to the 2nd Nuba Mountain Languages
Conference to be held in Paris, in August 28-30 2014. The conference strives
to provide meaningful coverage on current trends on all aspects of Nuba
Mountain languages. It will focus on descriptive linguistics, comparative
linguistics and anthropology.


2nd Call for Papers:

Abstracts are invited for conference presentations addressing any aspect of the analysis, description or comparison of the Nuba Mountain Languages. Abstracts in English should be no longer than 500 words, including examples and references. All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by at least two reviewers. All theoretical approaches are welcome, but abstracts should provide a clear indication of the relevance of its conclusions for a broad audience of linguists and anthropologists interested in the languages of the Nuba Mountains.

The 2nd Nuba Language Mountains Conference will provide funds to a limited number of African students and researchers for travel and lodging. Possible candidates should preferably be enrolled in a research program on Nuba Mountain Languages and/or be a major contributor to an oral presentation.  
  
Abstracts should be submitted as an MS Word file to the following address: nubalang at vjf.cnrs.fr.

A suggested outline for abstracts can be found at the following address: http://nmlc2.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/1.

Please make sure that you use a Unicode compliant font and that you do not use your name in the file name of your abstract. Please send two versions of your abstract. One should be anonymous, and one should include your name, affiliation and email at the top of the page, directly below the title.

Deadline for abstracts: December 31, 2013

Notification of acceptance: January 31, 2014
