Meeting Description: 

The Catalan Ombudsman Office will be hosting an International Symposium on Language Rights and Social Cohesion in Plurilinguistic societies from March 19 to 20, 2014. The Symposium will take place within the framework of the 'Tricentenari BCN' Commemoration events. The year 2014 will mark the 300th anniversary of the events of September 11, 1714. The two day event includes:

- A public presentation of a report on language rights in Catalonia and an overview of the situation in Spain.
- An international conference on language rights with the participation of experts in the fields of rights and languages.
