Babel is a new quarterly print magazine about language, written and edited by
academics but aimed at a broad range of language-lovers. Produced at the
University of Huddersfield (UK) by editors Lesley Jeffries and Dan McIntyre,
it has Prof. David Crystal as Linguistic Consultant.

We are searching for contributions of articles from linguists around the world
to this exciting new magazine. We are not peer-reviewed, as our content is
informal and fun; all we ask is that your contribution is based on sound
linguistic research and speaks to a wide non-specialist audience.

Our articles are short (3000 words max) and are a great way to prove the
impact and interest of your research in the wider world. We also run regular
features on Languages of the World, autobiographies on Lives in Language, as
well as reviews of general interest language books.

For further information and guidelines for contributors email:

subscribe for 2013.
