English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Unit, University of Glasgow
Job Details:
The School of Modern Languages and Cultures are seeking to recruit individuals
to fill a number of positions for five weeks duration within the English as a
Foreign Language (EFL) Unit.
The EFL Unit supports students and staff whose first language is not English
offering a variety of course including Pre-sessional courses for students who
want to study at the University of Glasgow or elsewhere.
These positions will contribute to the delivery of high quality EFL courses
run by, or affiliated to, the Language Centre where the successful postholders
will teach and assess as required.
Candidates successful at grade 7 shall be expected to assume greater levels of
responsibility for the effective operation of classes, development of
materials and wider administration.
Job Salary:
003905 Grade 6, £27,854 - £29,541 per annum (£587.60 - £623.19 per week)
003920 Grade 7, £32,267 - £36,298 per annum (£680.70 - £772.07 per week)
004212 Grade 6, £26,264 - £27,047 per annum (£554.06 - £570.58 per week)
Payment for attendance at induction training (of 1 or 2 days depending on
experience) will also be made.

The closing date for this vacancy is Sunday 28th July 2013 with interviews
taking place on a regular basis with a start date 29th July for a 5 week
contract. Please note that there will be a two day induction taking place on
