Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf
invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher whose main research focus
is on formal semantics and its connections to pragmatics, logic, syntax,
philosophy of language and other fields of cognitive science.

Terms of Appointment:
The primary responsibility will be to teach two classes per semester (in
German language) and conduct research in the semantics and its related fields.
The starting date is October 1, 2013. The initial term of appointment is until
September 30, 2014, with the possibility of renewal. Salary is on the German
scale TV-L E13, %100.

Application and Selection Process:
Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree (or an equivalent degree) by the
time of application. For full consideration, send an application and arrange
to have three letters of reference sent by July 20, 2013. Later applications
may be considered as well, until the position has been filled.

All materials should be sent by e-mail. Letters of reference may be sent in
scanned form. The application materials should include a CV, a very brief
statement of research interests (up to 4 pages), a writing sample, as well as
links to papers (or electronic versions thereof). The subject line should
include ‘Postdoc Semantics’.
