Focus: Learn a South Asian language this summer.
The South Asia Summer Language Institute (SASLI) based at the University of 
Wisconsin – Madison is offering intensive summer courses in the following 
South Asian languages: Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, 
Pashto, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Sinhala, Tamil, Telugu, Tibetan and Urdu.
Minimum Education Level: Undergraduate


Special Qualifications:
SASLI is open to undergraduates, graduate students, and non-student professionals.
Must be 18 years of age by June 17, 2013.

Instructions for submitting a complete application packet and the SASLI web
application can be found on the SASLI website at sasli.wisc.edu. Please apply
or encourage your students to apply as soon as possible, as faculty hiring is
based on student interest. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. 
Please be sure to apply to SASLI as early as possible to help ensure that your class will
be offered.

Tuition: 4,600.00 USD

Financial Aid: Applications accepted until 01-Apr-2013
A $1,000 Fee Remission is available to those who do not have another source 
of non-loan funding.

Financial Aid Instructions:
At the end of the SASLI application is a question where applicants can indicate 
whether or not they would like to be considered for this Fee Remission.  By 
checking “yes”, your application will automatically be considered once all application
materials have been received at the SASLI office.

Registration Instructions:
How to apply to SASLI
Step 1: Fill out the online application form (see link below).
Step 2: Pay the non-refundable application fee immediately after submitting
the form.
Step 3: Send a copy of your most recent transcripts (unofficial or official)
to the SASLI office (for current students and those enrolled in the last five
years).
Step 4: Write a short statement as to why you would like to attend SASLI (one
page maximum). If no transcripts are included, please address this in your
statement.
