Description:

Oracle is hiring computational linguists who are native or near-native speaker
of Swedish, Danish and Norwegian (Bokmål) and computational linguists who are
native or near-native speakers of Japanese.  Fluency in English is assumed. We
are hiring computational linguists with R&D experience in NLP development and
advanced scripting skills to help automate language resource creation and
build toolsets for the Oracle RightNow Virtual Assistant product
(voice-enabled question and answer).  This role is a full-time position (40
hours/week) and will be based in Bucharest, Romania with some travel to
Amsterdam, The Netherlands and /or Barcelona, Spain, where the alpha teams are
located, for training.

The Oracle RightNow Virtual Assistant delivers contextual, interactive
engagements that draw from relevant information and result in rich, seamless
interactions that build trust and loyalty. More opportunities are generated
because Virtual Assistant moves beyond answering questions by understanding
customer intent to provide deeper engagements not typically associated with
self-service.

Desired Profile:
- Demonstrated experience automating language resource creation (grammars,
dictionaries, ontologies)
- Significant experience developing tools and /or providing input to tools and
process development for automatic named entity recognition
- Experience in industrial R&D
- Team player with proven skills around triaging issues and problem solving
with key stakeholders across multiple projects
- Proven track record in NLP 
Skills:
- Native or near-native English and Swedish, Danish and Norwegian (Bokmål) OR
- Native or near-native English and Japanese
- Advanced skills in common scripting languages (python, perl) 

Nice to have:
- Demonstrated experience as a lead for a team of R&D language technologists
- Background in Speech technologies
- Interest or experience in the mobile space
- Agile Scrum experience
