We are pleased to announce the 9th Newcastle-upon-Tyne Postgraduate Conference in Linguistics. This one-day conference is designed to give linguistics postgraduates from all research areas an opportunity to present and discuss their research in an informal and intellectually stimulating setting.

Call for Papers:

9th Newcastle-upon-Tyne Postgraduate Conference in Linguistics
Friday, 4 April 2014, 9:00 – 18:15
Percy Building, Newcastle University

We invite postgraduate students to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on any area of linguistics.

Key Dates:

Deadline for submission of abstracts: Sunday, 12 January 2014
Notification of acceptance: Mid February 2014
Registration opens 11 February 2014

Abstract Submission Guidelines:

Presentation Guidelines:

Accepted abstracts will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion. There will be a dedicated poster session on the day of the conference. Speakers will also be invited to submit their paper for publication in the Newcastle Working Papers in Linguistics.
