Description:
Tenure track position beginning 9/1/2014. Applicants must have solid training in linguistic description and analysis in variationist sociolinguistics or second language acquisition with research and teaching expertise in syntax or morphology. Demonstrated ability to teach historical linguistics at graduate and undergraduate levels in addition to teaching and mentoring in the research specialty is highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with a research program involving less commonly studied languages. Preference also given to candidates with experience in the application of corpus-based methodologies, computer analytical tools, or quantitative methods to the study of language.
To ensure full consideration, complete applications should be received by 11/15/2013. Selected applicants will be invited for interview via Skype in January 2014.
