Description:
The Language Construction Lab (PI/Adele Goldberg) (http://www.princeton.edu/~adele/) in the Department of Psychology (http://psych.princeton.edu/psychology/home/) at Princeton University is looking for PhD researchers to join the lab. Admission is through the PhD program in psychology, which offers three semester full fellowship, summer salary, full support subsequently (possibly via teaching) for five years: http://psych.princeton.edu/psychology/grad/main/index.php.
Some background in experimental methods and statistics is necessary. Background in linguistics is also preferred.
Our lab investigates the representation, learning and processing of form-function pairings, known as constructions, and in the psychology of language more generally. The lab has access to state of the art equipment (2 fMRI machines in building, ERPs, eye tracking) and the opportunity to collaborate with any faculty in psychology.
