LAT Software Training for Linguistic Fieldwork and Archiving

Focus: The training course is based on the courses we gave for the DoBeS community. It is aimed at documentational linguists and takes a practical approach in teaching A/V recording and using the LAT software to annotate, enhance and archive those recordings.
Minimum Education Level: Undergraduate
Description:
The training course is aimed at documentational linguists who are about to go to their first fieldwork. It includes practicals about using audio and video equipment and apart from that will focus on the LAT software suite developed by TLA (http://tla.mpi.nl/tools/tla-tools/), in particular, the training will include the annotation software ELAN, the lexicon tool LEXUS and various tools needed for interaction with the TLA Language Archive.
