Call for Papers:

Abstract submission deadline: Friday, December 13, 2013

Abstracts are invited for papers dealing with any aspect of sound change. We welcome papers that address the impact of knowledge or technique from allied disciplines on the study of sound change in the following areas: Structural effects in sound change; perception and production in sound change; social factors in sound change; lessons from typology; and modeling sound change.

The workshop will run from noon May 28 to noon of May 31, 2014. We expect to publish an book based on papers presented at this conference.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:

Please follow the guidelines below. Write to scihs at berkeley.edu with any questions.

Submit abstracts by email to scihs at berkeley.edu in PDF format, with the filename PaperTitle.pdf, where PaperTitle is the title or a clear abbreviated version of it (no punctuation or spaces).

Abstracts should be anonymous. Author name(s) should not appear in the abstract or file name.

Abstracts should not exceed 2 pages in length including references and examples (minimum 12pt font size, 1 inch margins).

Submissions are limited to two abstracts per author, including at most one single-authored abstract. In other words, you may be on two co-authored abstracts, or one co-authored abstract plus one single-authored abstract.
