After a successful first meeting in Lisbon in May 2011, it was decided to make this conference a triennial event. The next meeting of the International Conference on Sign Language Acquisition (ICSLA2015) will therefore be held in Amsterdam on July 1 to July 3, 2015: three full days of presentations. The conference languages will be English and International Sign.
The meeting will cover all linguistic aspects of first and second sign language acquisition and include bilingual/bimodal acquisition, atypical populations, sociolinguistic aspects including emergence, diagnostic instruments, methodology and archiving, processing, and literacy in a sign language. There will be both signed or spoken plenary presentations as well as poster sessions. There will be no parallel sessions. Poster sessions form an important part of the conference and provide an opportunity to show and share data also via laptops.
Call for Papers:
Those interested in giving a presentation are invited to go to the abstract submission website where they will find instructions for submitting a proposal. All proposals will be internationally reviewed.
The deadline for submissions is 23.59 CET, October 1, 2014. Details of acceptance will be made known by the end of December 2014.

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Eastern Michigan University and as such can receive donations through the EMU Foundation, which is a registered 501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax return (U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site, or contact your financial advisor.
Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a simple administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if your company operates such a program.
Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
