1st Symposium on Lavender Linguistics and Queer Idendities 3 July 2015

The purpose of this symposium is raising awareness and furthering the topic Lavender Linguistics in Germany. We want to provide researchers, students and other interested individuals with the opportunity to present their work and discuss issues associated with LGBITQ-topics, gender, feminist linguistics and other related topics.

Lavender Linguistics is a subfield of sociolinguistics, dealing with the language and language use of homosexual, bisexual, transsexual and queer individuals. There will be no conference fee. We invite any interested individual to attend the symposium
without presentation; registration is not required.

Call for Papers:

We are pleased to announce the 1st call for papers for the 1st Symposium on Lavender Linguistics and Queer Idendities in Düsseldorf, Germany.

All interested authors are requested to submit a 350-word-abstract for either a paper or a poster presentation until 1 May 2015. All submissions must be either in English or German. After the deadline, all abstracts will be submitted to a blind review. We especially encourage submissions by all interested students. Abstracts should be submitted to sollaqi at gmail.com
