Background and Mission Statement:
Thailand TESOL, Lower-Southern Affiliate (L-SA) is one of the non-profit academic organizations which helps promote the objectives of Thailand TESOL. L-SA is located at the Department of Languages and Linguistics, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkla University-Hat Yai, Songkhla. It aims to assist the national TESOL in strengthening English language education at all levels, undertaking research in English language teaching, offering scholarships, disseminating information, and cooperating in appropriate ways with other groups having similar concerns.hops, and an excellent book fair, there will be plenty of opportunities to develop and foster professional and casual network relationships.

''Speaking'' for ASEAN
May 2-3, 2014, 8.00 a.m.- 4.30 p.m.

Department of Languages and Linguistics, Faculty of Liberal Arts
Prince of Songkla University-Hat Yai, Songkhla, Thailand
Extended call-for-paper deadline: March 1, 2014
Featuring a renowned, inspiring, and thought-provoking keynote speaker, paper presentations, workshops, and an excellent book fair, there will be plenty of opportunities to develop and foster professional and casual network relationships. ELT researchers are welcome to present their work and qualified papers will get published in our peer-reviewed proceedings or faculty journal.
Objectives:
1. To provide opportunities for teachers at all education levels in the region to learn and develop debate-related skills and teaching strategies with an internationally renowned public speaker and debate trainer Asst. Prof. Piyanart Faktorngpan
2. To allow primary school teachers to share knowledge and experiences with each other and with professional trainers from leading organizations
3. To provide a platform for teachers at all educational levels in the region to share research related to the development of EFL learners' communication skills.
Session Formats:
Papers (30 min: 20-25 min for presentation and 5-10 min for questions and answers)
Proposal and full paper deadline: March 1, 2014
