Focus: The International Summer School of Croatian Language, Literature and Culture “Zoranic’s Arcady” will develop your speaking, reading, and writing skills in the Croatian language, and will offer you insights into relevant factors of the Croatian cultural identity.

Description:
The summer school develops speaking, reading and writing skills in the Croatian language, and offers participants excellent insights into relevant factors of the Croatian cultural identity. This year language course (50 lessons), adjusted to participants' previous knowledge of Croatian language, will be accompanied by lectures of world-famous experts in Croatian and Slavic studies, and by lectures of respected scientists from the Department of Croatian and Slavic studies, University of Zadar. Apart from the lectures and language course, the program me will be enriched with afternoon workshops through which participants will learn more about Croatian culture. An excursion will be organized in which participants will be introduced to ethnological heritage and gastronomic offerings of the Zadar region.

Financial Aid: Applications accepted until 01-Jun-2014
One scholarship is granted for one participant of the summer school. The scholarship covers the tuition and accommodation fee with three meals. Students of Slavic studies from universities outside of Croatia and children of Croatian emigrants are eligible to apply for scholarship. The criteria are excellence in studies and/or active participation in work of cultural associations (for children of Croatian emigrants).

Financial Aid Instructions:
To apply for scholarship, candidates need to:
- complete online application,
- send per post the folowing documents: motivation letter, CV and official paper from the home university with the list of attended courses, grades and the average grade, and/or certificate of membership in a cultural association.
