Meeting Description:

Department of International Professional and Scientific Communication of Tambov State Technical University (Russia), Department of English Language and Linguodidactics of Karaganda State University (Kazakhstan) and the Prosvescheniye Publishers (Russia) are proud to announce the International Online Scientific Conference «ICT-Based Language Teaching in Professional Context» to be held on 18 November 2014 in Tambov State Technical University, Tambov (Russia).

The main theme of the conference is implementation of information and communication technologies in teaching English language to the students of universities, vocational colleges, and further education programmes in the framework of life-long professional learning.

Registration fee is 250 RUB + postal costs for CD-ROM shipment (120 RUB for participants from Russia; 250 RUB for NIS countries; shipment costs to other countries to be specified). Registration fee is to be paid by 20 October 2014 by bank transfer. Payment details will be sent to the registered participants after the decision on the publication is made by the organizing committee (up to 1 week from the proposal submissions).

Call for Papers:

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Methodology of using ICT in language education 
- ICT for developing learner communicative competence 
- Using ICT for quality assurance in language education 
- Innovative trends of ICT for language teaching with Web 2.0 
- Recent teaching aids for ICT-based language education 
 
Languages of the conference: Russian and English. 
 
Conference proceedings will be published on the conference website and as a CD-ROM with ISBN indexed in RISC (Russian Index of Research Citation). Certificates of participation will be awarded. 
 
Conference Sessions:

Plenary session is to be held online as a real-time video conference on the 18 November 2014, 10 a.m. Moscow Time. Papers of registered participants will be published on the conference website. Participants will be able to view, discuss and add comments in a remote-access mode.

The organizers welcome extended abstracts of speaker’s proposals in English.
