Abstract:

Die Studie setzt sich mit der oftmals als metaphorisch bezeichneten Verbindung zwischen Raum und Zeit auseinander. Nach der Klassifizierung unterschiedlicher Metapherarten rückt die Autorin die Frage nach der Existenz von Raum-Zeit-Metaphern in den Fokus der Untersuchung. Die Arbeit beinhaltet eine Darstellung von sprachlichen Elementen des Raumes und von Mitteln zum Ausdruck der Temporalität. Es werden ein Überblick über den aktuellen Gebrauch ausgewählter raumzeitlicher Präpositionen und Adjektive im Französischen und Spanischen und ein Einblick in deren diachrone Entwicklung gegeben. Die Autorin verknüpft korpusbasierte, linguistische Analysen mit kognitionslinguistischen und philosophischen Erkenntnissen über das Raum- und Zeitkonzept.
