The Romania Nova Workshop (Comparative Studies of Romance Languages in the Americas) will take place in Buenos Aires November 26 to 28 sponsored by the Instituto de Filología y Literaturas Hispánicas “Doctor Amado Alonso” at the Universidad de Buenos Aires to commemorate the 80th birthday of Mary A. Kato, Professor at the Universitade de Campinas, Brazil, coordinator of the previous meetings of Romania Nova.

El proyecto de investigación Romania Nova (estudios comparativos de lenguas romances en las Américas) va a desarrollarse en Buenos Aires los días 26 a 28 de noviembre avalado por el Instituto de Filología y Literaturas Hispánicas “Dr. Amado Alonso” (UBA) para conmemorar los ochenta años de Mary A. Kato (UNICAMP), coordinadora de los encuentros anteriores de Romania Nova.

Call for Papers:
We invite abstracts for 25 minutes talks about the syntax, morphology and semantics of Romance varieties in the Americas, eventually in comparison with European Romance varieties. Abstracts should be no more than two pages long including examples and bibliography (Font 12, 2.5 cm. margins).
Abstracts must be anonymous and can be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English.

Notification of Acceptance: July 31, 2014.

Los resúmenes deben contener una perspectiva comparativa o diacrónica.
Los resúmenes deben ser anónimos y pueden ser escritos en español, portugués o inglés.
