The Interlinguistic Studies at the Institute of Linguistics (Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland) will hold the third international symposium on interlinguistics, which will take place on 25-26.09.2014 in Poznań. The main subject of the
symposium will be:
Problems of international linguistic communication and their solutions
Description: International and intercultural communication is an everyday need in a globalised world. But what are the scenarios of efficient communication that also ensure equality between partners? What costs and investments are necessary to attain this? How can people safeguard and transmit
their national cultural values and identities in a multicultural world? How can planned / constructed languages contribute to the natural communication between cultures?

The languages of the conference will be Polish, English, and Esperanto.
Call for Papers:
Papers on the following topics are invited:
- Natural languages in international communication
- Language policy in multicultural and multilingual countries
- Esperanto:
- Linguistics, model for analysis of linguistic categories and cross-linguistic comparison
- Literature as representative of international values and topics
- Teaching, the facilitating role for learning other languages
- Esperanto movement as a movement for linguistic rights
- Language utopias and artistic languages
- Other international auxiliary languages
Each paper will be given 30 minutes, including 10 minutes for discussion. Power Point presentations are invited (Power Point MS Office 98-2003).
