Meeting Description:

The academic group in «Minority Languages Linguistic-typological and
Ethno-cultural Studies», the Linguistic-typological and Ethno-cultural Academy
and the University of Sonora Graduate Program in Linguistics are pleased to
announce the 2014 Syntax Complexity Seminar, which will take place in
Hermosillo, Sonora from November 10-11.


Call for Proposals:

The academic group in «Minority Languages Linguistic-typological and Ethno-cultural Studies», the Linguistic-typological and Ethno-cultural Academy and the University of Sonora Graduate Program in Linguistics invite proposals for an Organized Session at the 2014 Syntax Complexity Seminar, which will take place in Hermosillo, Sonora from November 10-11. 

An organized session is an excellent opportunity to present a group of similarly-focused presentations on the topic of linguistics evolution: typological characterization and paths of linguistic change:

a) Verb valency classes
b) Syntax complexity

Deadline for receipt of final proposal: August 30, 2014
 
The completed proposal should be submitted by the deadline, in English or Spanish in a one page document. The proposal should include the following information:

- Title of Session
- Author's name
- Affiliation and email address of organizer(s)

The notification of acceptance/non-acceptance of proposals all be September 20.
