Dear all,
Could I ask you to participate in this fun research on how people are able to infer the emotional state of their interlocutor? It is a follow up of a survey in which participants were asked to guess the emotion and rate the intensity displayed by an actress in a couple of short video recordings in English.
In the present version, the video recordings have been replaced by audio recordings.
There is also a short questionnaire about linguistic background and personality.
Please do *NOT* participate in the present survey if you have already filled in the previous version of this questionnaire some weeks/months ago.
We are looking for both native and nonnative speakers of English.

Many thanks in advance for participating in this research project that I conduct under Prof. Jean-Marc Dewaele's supervision (Birkbeck College, University of London).
Kind regards,
Pernelle Lorette (Utrecht University, The Netherlands).
