Description:

The Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian, and African
Languages invites applications for a fixed term Instructor (MA) or Assistant
Professor (Ph.D.) position in Hindi beginning August 16, 2015, with the
possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be appointed on an
academic year basis.  The candidate will have expertise, experience, and
demonstrated excellence in teaching Hindi and further developing strong
curriculum from beginning to advanced levels. It is also expected that the
successful candidate will contribute to the overall intellectual environment
in Hindi language study and in general will contribute to outreach and
co-curricular activities as well as the development of experiential learning
activities.

Qualifications include native or near-native fluency in Hindi, undergraduate
Hindi teaching experience and an MA in Hindi language teaching or a related
field.  Salary is commensurate with experience. Please submit a current vitae,
