Description:

The Dept. of World Languages and Cultures invites applications for a
full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish beginning August 2015. 
Ph.D. in hand or ABD in Spanish or related field.  

The successful candidate will be a generalist dedicated to teaching a range of
undergraduate Spanish courses at all levels, from language to culture and
film. Opportunity to teach in the First Year Program and Global Studies
Program.

Experience or demonstrated interest in World Language Certification or in
developing a study abroad program a plus. 

We seek a dynamic colleague, committed to recruitment, retention, and new
course development.  Native or near native command of Spanish and English. 
Workload is four courses per semester.  Service to the department and
university is expected, as is an active research agenda.
