Meeting Description:

2nd Annual AZCALL Conference
Date: Saturday, February 21, 2015
11:00am – 6:00pm

Location: Arizona State University, Tempe -- Durham Languages & Literatures Building

AZCALL is a one-day conference held each year that brings together computer-assisted language learning enthusiasts from around the state and region to share ideas, network, and receive valuable feedback on scholarly research, academic papers, and major conference presentations which are in progress or preparation. We are very pleased to host Professor Jozef Colpaert (University of Antwerp, Belgium), as this year’s keynote speaker. Professor Barbara Lafford (Arizona State University) will offer our opening plenary.

Registration:

Registration for the conference will open soon -- please check back in mid-October! We're finalizing registration fees, but anticipate them to be in the $45 - $55 range.

November 30: Deadline for early bird registration
January 31: Deadline for regular registration
February 21: On-site registration (checks and cash only)

Note: Registration includes lunch and all coffee breaks.

2nd Call for Papers:

AZCALL 2015 proposal deadline has been extend to November 15, 2014 (midnight AZ time).

We seek presentation proposals and posters from academic faculty and students who are working in any area of computer-assisted language learning and teaching. Faculty/student joint projects are highly encouraged.

All proposals for papers/poster sessions should have a well-defined theoretical basis or conceptual framework and be strongly connected to existing research in SLA theory, CALL theory, L2 pedagogy, or other appropriate field.

All proposals must be submitted online via the abstract submission form. The submission system will close on November 15, 2014 at 11:59 pm AZ time.

Format for Proposals:

Papers: 25 minutes (20 minutes, with five minutes for questions)
Posters: One 25-minute dedicated time slot, with an additional 15-minute time slot for presentations immediately after lunch.

Note: Posters may arrive unmounted, but we will need to attach them to poster board that can be placed on a traditional easel. Pinning or taping posters to the wall will not be permitted.
