Meeting Description:
The focus of this workshop is the division of labor between grammatical modules such as phonology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics and between these and the interfaces to other cognitive domains, such as processing and cognition. We are particularly interested in the interaction between the classic context-independent modules of grammar and dynamic interface theories like information structure theory, which relates core grammatical components and processing I discourse. The ultimate goal of the workshop is to work towards the development of more broadly empirically-based models of grammar and processing models in discourse.
