Description:

The Department of English and American Studies in the Faculty of Humanities at
the University of 
Kassel invites applications for a Lecturer in English language (Lehrkraft für
besondere Aufgaben 
im Bereich Sprachpraxis English). This part-time post (70% FTE) is available
on a fixed term basis 
from 22nd October 2014 for six months. Salary according to EG 13 TV-H.

The post will include teaching modules in spoken and written English (levels
B2-C2) with a 
teaching load of 12 hours per week, setting and grading language tests and
exams at all levels, 
collaborating in the improvement of our language teaching programmes and
supporting students 
in their language learning.

The successful applicant will be a native speaker of English with an MA or
equivalent academic 
qualification, preferably in a relevant field of study. Teaching experience is
essential, EAP 
experience highly desirable. Some knowledge of German is necessary.

Applicants may not have previously been employed by the Federal State of Hesse
(Land Hessen).
