Description:

Applications are invited for admission to MA by Coursework, MA by Research and PhD degrees in Language Studies in the Department of English Language and Literature at the National University of Singapore. Research Scholarships are offered to PhD candidates on a competitive basis, covering tuition plus a stipend, for four years full-time study.

All courses are conducted in English. Faculty in English Language are linguists with a wide range of specializations, including Sociolinguistics, Language Variation, Contact Linguistics, World Englishes, Language and Gender, Second Language Writing, Critical Discourse Analysis, Multimodality, Stylistics, Bilingual Cognition, Syntax, and Phonology, conducting research in English and other languages.
