Job Description:
The appointee will be expected
- To teach a wide range of courses in English linguistics including English
proficiency and he/she will be in charge of testing English as a Foreign
Language (12-15 hours per week, i.e. depending on whether the candidate is
research-active or not).
- To carry out individual research.
- To carry out administrative tasks in the Department of English and to serve
in faculty-wide committees.

The successful candidate should have a doctorate in English linguistics. While
a PhD is not a formal requirement for this particular position, it constitutes
a significant advantage. In line with that, experience in research and a good
publication track are advantageous (and reduce the teaching commitments to 12
hours per week).

It is essential that the appointee has experience in teaching across a broad
spectrum of subjects in English linguistics at an advanced academic level.
Apart from being an inspiring and versatile teacher, he/she should also have
supervision experience at BA and MA level.

Proficiency in French is an advantage for this post and is certainly required
within two years.
