Focus: This is a one-day workshop on Second Language Acquisition. The workshop is directed to graduate and advanced undergraduate students, language teachers and anyone interested in getting an overview of current research in the acquisition, teaching and learning of a second language.

The programme of the day is as follows:

- 9:00-9:20: Registration
- 9:20-9:30: Welcome and Presentation
- 9:30-11:00: Session 1 - Crosslinguistic Variation and Second Language Acquisition, by Drs. María J. Arche and Sarah A. Liszka (University of Greenwich)
- 11:00-11:15: Coffee break
- 11:15-12:15: Session 2 - Bilingualism, by Professor Silvina  Montrul (University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign)
- 12:15-13:00: Lunch
- 13:00-14:00: Session 3 - Motivation, by Dr. Florentina Taylor (University of Greenwich)
- 14:00-14:15: Break 
- 14:15-15:45: Session 4 -  Input Processing and Instruction Related Issues, by Professor Alessandro Benati and Dr. Cécile Laval
- 15:45-16:00: Break
- 16:00-16:45: Final Discussion
- 17:00-18:00: Wine Reception
