Papers are solicited for two panels of the Latin American Studies Association, to be held in New York City in May 2016: Panel 1, “Linguistic Variation in Latin America,” is convened by Dale Koike; Panel 2, “The languages and lect(s) of Dominicans,” is convened by Almeida Jacqueline Toribio.
Call for Papers:
Prospective presenters are invited to submit abstracts of original empirically- or theoretically-driven research on any level of language analysis, from perspectives of structural linguistics, sociolinguistics, corpus/text linguistics, or anthropological linguistics.
Authors should submit abstracts of less than 500 words by August 20 to the convener of the chosen panel: d.koike at austin.utexas.edu or toribio.austin.utexas.edu
