Meeting Description:

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite the academic community to attend the 8th International Conference ''Word, Utterance, Text: Cognitive, Pragmatic and Cultural Aspects'', which will be held on April 20-22, 2016 at Chelyabinsk State University (Chelyabinsk, Russia).

Conference session formats:

1) Plenary session (30 min per presentation)
2) Thematic paper session (10 min per presentation)
3) Poster presentation
4) Workshop

Call for Papers:

We welcome the submission of research papers related to the following topics:

1. Innovative approaches to language studies in the XXI century
2. Linguistic image of the world and cross-cultural communication
3. Discourse as the object of interdisciplinary research
4. Current issues in translation and interpreting studies
5. Current issues in language education

If you are not able to attend the conference in person, you can register as in absentia. Papers presented in absentia are eligible to be included in the conference proceedings.

Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings which will be indexed in RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index) and will be available in the Scientific Electronic Library (www.elibrary.ru).

The electronic version of the conference proceedings, as well as the conference program will be available on the conference website.

All authors will receive printed versions of the conference proceedings (1 copy per author), as well as the certificates of participation. The conference proceedings will be sent to authors after the conference.

Registration deadline September 1, 2015
Paper submission deadline January 18, 2016

Paper Submission Guidelines:

The submitted paper must be 5 to 7 pages long. The publication processing fee is 200 rubles per page.

Submissions violating these guidelines will not be considered. The notification of acceptance of the submitted paper will be sent to you via email. No paper submissions will be accepted after the deadline.

For paper submission, please send the attached paper to the following email: slovo_csu at mail.ru. The name of the attached file and the subject of the mail must be as follows: ''author’s surname_paper'' (e.g. Jones_paper.doc). Along with the paper, please attach the copy of the payment receipt. The name of the attached file must be as follows: ''author’s surname_payment receipt'' (e.g. Jones_payment receipt.jpg). If no payment is made, the paper is not considered for publication. Further details about the publication processing fee will be forwarded to the registered participants.

Please, note that accommodation and travel expenses will be borne by the participants.
