Meeting Description:

The University of Extremadura is pleased to announce that the 26th Colloquium on  Generative Grammar (CGG) will be held at its campus in Cáceres, on April 13-15, 2016. 

The CGG is an annual conference that has been held in Spain, Portugal, and France. The CGG is a conference where linguists from all over the world discuss the latest proposals on syntax, semantics, phonology and phonetics of natural languages within the generative  framework. The CGG is one of the main conferences on this topic held in Europe.

Pilar Barbosa (Universidade do Minho)

2nd Call for Papers: 

Call Deadline Extended: December 25, 2015

Linguists working in any theoretical framework of Generative Grammar are invited to participate. Each paper presentation will be allotted 30 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion. A limited number of abstracts will also be accepted for two poster sessions.

Authors are asked to submit their abstracts in an anonymous PDF file to the following site:

Please add 5 keywords and specify whether your submission is for an oral presentation, poster or both. (If you do not have an EasyChair account, please follow the instructions provided and create one.)

Abstracts should be no longer than two pages in length (including examples and references), in a 12 point font, single line spacing and 2,5 cm. margins. Submissions are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint abstract per author.

Important Dates:

- Deadline for abstract submission: December 25, 2015
- Notification of acceptance: January 31, 2016
- Conference dates: April 13-15, 2016
