Meeting Description:
TAO-CAT-2015 is a conference on the state of the art in Computer Aided Translation tools. It is designed to bring together a wide variety of people in the translation industry, such as translators and
translation agencies, translation buyers, CAT software vendors, teachers, students, and researchers.
TAO-CAT-2015 is a non-profit conference jointly organized by the Université Catholique de l’Ouest and the Société française des traducteurs.The conference will take place on May 28-30, 2015 at the Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers, in the Loire Valley in France.
Call for Contributions:
TAO-CAT-2015 is issuing a call to CAT software researchers. We are looking for contributions on the development of CAT tools, in either local or online versions, such as:
- Translation memory tools
- Terminology management software
- Translation project management software
- Corpora management tools for translation help
- Terminology extraction tools
- Translation quality control software
- Tools for managing translation resources (such as for translation memories and term bases)
- Post-editing software
- Human / machine cooperation for translation
- Software suites including one or more of the aforementioned tools
Here are now a non exhaustive list of awaited studies:
- Mock-ups / prototypes / innovative CAT tools
- Translator-targetted interfaces
- Translation roles management
- Terminology extraction
- Corcordancers integration
- Studies/Analysis about CAT tool use
- Databases management for CAT tools resources
- Data representation
- Technical/Ergonomy specificities for Internet-based Interaction
- Cross-platform dévelopment
- MT/TM integration in CAT tools
- CAT/MT/Content Management Systems
If you are interested in participating to TAO-CAT 2015, please send a 1250 words (max) description, in French or English to research at tao2015.org
The talk is encouraged to be given in French. English will nevertheless be also possible. The participation fee is of 75 € by attendant.
