Meeting Description:
Il XXVIII Congresso Internazionale di Linguistica e Filologia Romanza si terrà a Roma, all’Università “Sapienza” e all’Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Nelle sezioni e nelle conferenze, nelle tavole rotonde e nelle iniziative scientifiche parallele, il Congresso si propone di rappresentare le modalità di interconnessione fra linguistica e filologia sviluppatesi nella ricerca degli ultimi decenni, anche a contatto con altri settori (dalla storia letteraria alla sociologia, all’ermeneutica, alla paleografia e alla teoria della comunicazione). Il tema del Congresso, Linguistica e filologia romanza di fronte al canone, pensato in quanto canone di lettura e di modelli metodologici nella logica di un sapere comune e comunemente accettato, aspira a stimolare, col contributo dei diversi saperi specialistici, una riflessione comune su una questione ineludibile, imposta dalla globalizzazione a tutte le scienze umane e umanistiche: il rapporto fra particolare e universale e fra li
ngua e cultura in un ambito disciplinare, la linguistica e la filologia romanza che, nato in Europa e in relazione al nome della città di Roma, abbraccia ormai, agli inizi del XXI secolo, tutti i continenti, secondo problematiche e modalità a volte originali e inedite.
Call for Papers:
The General and Romance Linguistics section of the International Congress of Romance Linguistics and Philology is accepting abstracts for talks on any aspect of general or Romance linguistics (textual linguistics; pragmatics; psycholinguistics; multilingualism; synchronic linguistics; functional linguistics; generative linguistics; ethnolinguistics…). Abstracts for papers and posters should be sent to the Scientific Committee through the form available on the conference website (‹www.CILFR2016Roma.it›). Please include:
- The cover form (available on the conference website ‹www.CILFR2016Roma.it›)
- A two-page abstract (no footnotes), including a final paragraph explaining (i) how the proposed paper fits into the chosen section (“General and Romance Linguistics”); (ii) its innovative aspects
- A select bibliography (max. one page)
All proposals (both papers and posters) will be reviewed by the presidents of the relevant sections. All Romance languages are official languages of the conference.

August 31, 2015: Deadline for receipt of abstracts
January 06, 2016: Paper acceptances will be announced
January 31, 2016: Deadline for early registration (at a reduced rate)
January 31, 2016: Deadline for the registration of speakers
May 15, 2016: Deadline to submit papers to be made available on-line
July 18, 2016: Deadline for registration of participants
