Sayyab Translation Journal (STj) is happy to invite translation scholars and
researchers worldwide to contribute research papers to its seventh volume
entitled Proverbs: Ethnography and Translatability.

The aim of Sayyab Translation Journal (STJ) is to present a series of volumes
on central issues of intercultural communication through translation and/or
interpreting. Based on input from various linguistic and cultural contexts,
each volume in the series offers a comprehensive study of topics pertinent to
the work of translators and interpreters as intercultural
communicators/agents. The volumes in the series are intended for researchers,
practitioners and students of translation studies, language and intercultural
studies.

Contributions (5000-10000 words, Word document, Times New roman, font 12, 1.5
spacing) to the eight volume of STJ, scheduled to appear in April 2016, should
be submitted by e-mail to Dr Ali Almanna: (a_abid12 at yahoo.co.uk).

Abstracts: Nov. 2015 (abstracts of 250-300 words accompanied by a short
biographical note to the editors).

Decision on proposals: Jan. 2016
Full submission: Feb. 2016

- Strategies of translating proverbs
- Case studies of proverbs in existing translations; or
- Shakespearean proverbs in translation
